Q why is a crow like a writing desk?
Q why is a crow like a writing desk?

Help

Without cheating by googling the answer, let me try to jog those sleeping grey cells:
Q why is a crow like a writing desk?
A~- A crow sits on wood and a desk …ummm… I don't know…is made of wood.
Sorry- nothing else came up! ;p
I am a virgo, Alice represented virgo. This was the mad hatters question I believe and Gaia is right originally the question had no answer, I think it was a raven in my version, crow family, both the bird and the desk produce notes? I was given both wonderful old books by a neighbour when I was ill as a child, also Aesops Fables, and the Water Babies, The Wind in The Willows, many old classics, I loved reading, all read again and again. They were beautiful books that I treasured, we didn't have the space to pack them when we left the island of Jersey.. I hadn't answered todays Q&R, but your question has me feeling all nostalgic.
yes, i remember that one :)
thanks friends, Zephyr gets points for one correct answer but there is another answer( in the nonsence style of the great LC,
I shall give it next week,
blessings,
M
What fun, Mikey! The Mad Hatter has to be one of the best characters Carrol ever came up with. I can hardly wait for Tim Burton's Alice and your answer to this classically unanswered riddle! Thanks for making me smile this morning.
Well Mama(cheshire)Kat, I ain't known as the frumious Bandersnatch for nothing!
Would Lewis have used a quill pen on a desk quill / feathers?
Crow wings flap, desk lift wooden flap ? Just me flapping around thinking aloud!!!!
Gia, Crows & ravens are different species, Ravens are bigger!
In UK They are crow or corvus family 8 species
http://www.rspb.org.uk/wildlife/birdguide/families/crows.asp
nothing to do with anything really but recently I read ” a dove that flies with crows may end up with a black soul”- fancy that?!
And Zephyr (Gael) how many species of writing desks? (maybe 8 also) Thanks Gael for your input and thanks everyone for comments & replies!
Black is as beautiful as white, like being enveloped in a womb.
More desk species than crows lol
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_desk_forms_and_types
Both can be found in a field, lol
A field desk is a portable desk which is meant to be used in rear areas not too far from a battlefield and moved around rather frequently in difficult conditions.
the crow holds sacred knowledge and assists with songwriting, as does a desk (:

Just J, thanks for that link to the kids rock, totally frumious!
Gia, that's one possible explanation, flat notes from both, well done! (but the answer I will give is in the vein of Lewis Caroll's nonsense writing- I will be giving it before 17th of Sept, as I am leaving for lourdes from 17th to 22 Sept, and will be far from crows and writing-desks- but I hope you've all been enjoying this as much as me,
over & out,
The Frumious Bandersnatc ( Mike)
Gia, did you think up that one yourself?
They both have inky black feathers ? ( quill pen )
Gia, you're right on, & I don't believe “too far outside the box” is possible, well done!
Ciao tutti la familia de la Bella Gia y PREGO Antonio y Marco y tutti quanti,
M
Gia, I have 2 brothers of my own, 2 sisters, 9 nieces, 3 nephews, and all sortsa cousins & stuff, But why is a crow like a writing desk?
cara Gia, you are scuzied, no problema
Apologies, towards the end of this thread I deleted one comment by Gia & one by me- so the thought-flow may be a little unclear, scusi

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
Well My friend Meenakshi, I have mailed you the answer, so as not to spoil the fun, hope you like it,
