Hello friends & Passers by, my computer is f***ed and irrecuperable, with a friends help, I have found someone who can get all the info from the hard disc, and provide me with a "new" working computer for 395euros. My handicapped Adult allowance is around 600euros/month So I am looking for help on how to set up a fund( paypal account?)so that I can be back on line regularly to continue communicating on Gaia for my birthday & beyond. Up till now I have always followed the maxim: " Don't use your friends for getting money, & don't use your money for getting friends" - I am beyond that now,
Thanks for your advice & help,
Mike

I have been to see a one-woman show twice in the past two weeks. It is called "La vie va ou? " (where is life going?" ) Written & staring Michele Guigon- telling her successful battle with breast cancer. Clearly this is a serious illness, but Michele has a wonderful spirit & a comic ease which makes thisshow alighthearted frolic to places where lesser beings fear to thread. She tells of her reaction to the doctors' question : " would you prefer a mastectomy or chemiotherapy first?" and is able to laugh at the pathos of the word " prefer" in this context. She goes on to inspire and dedramatise a serious situation, telling about her transition from her being a "girl with the wind in her hair" to being "a girl with her hair in the wind", and how she got through the whole situation. She talks about the fact that instead of being referred to as "ill", the euphamism was that she "was traversing an illness" And jokes that only the really healthy can manage to traverse an illness successfully. My short synopsis of her work cannot do it justice, but I wanted to share some ofd the hope that her work brings.
