When I first read this question (ten minutes ago) I had just spoken to my mother in Ireland and had asked her to send me a recepie and a magazine, which are not to be had in France. In the meantime, I left my computer to go to the kitchen to get a snack, and on the way, cause it hurts me to walk, I asked "the Gods above", the universe, etc, to make my life less physically painful. It was a spontaneous prayer

Paris is the number one vacation spot in the world. There are so many wonderful things to do on your vacation in Paris. You can visit the many museums such as the Louvre museum with its wonderful collection of ancient statues and renaissance paintings, the Orsay museum which holds the largest collection of Impressionistic Art in the world and the Pompidou Centre known for its collection of modern art. The Picasso Museum in the Marais, the Rodin Museum, and the numerous other museums are all fascinating destinations. Or you can just wander around and get lost, the best way to find hidden treasures

I have a wonderful help network of friends/family and professionals ( health care & social workers) and not forgetting my online friends like Meenakshi/Ladybear (to mention but two of so many) and indeed Siona, Matthew & the Gaia team. My major difficulties at the moment are financial (due to the fact that I was in hospital for one & a half years and unable to work since- though the bills kept coming in). Lately, I've been lucky enough to benefit from the outstanding services of a few ladies who work for the Social Service of The Paris District in which I live, and not only are they exceptionally competent and manage to find solutions to what seemed like unsurmountable financial difficulties, but they retain a vivid sense of humanity & humour and are a joy to work with. I am blessed to have them as am I blessed to have a wonderful network of off- & on-line friends.

Today, I had a most unusual experience, I read the words "Mikey_Dee is dying" , and I wrote to the author on Gaia who answered " someone said you were dying, or perhaps I misunderstood" , so my status became "Mikey_Dee is living (it up & beyond his means)" which is true. I then google searched a video on "I love living" and came across this absolute gem! and I discovered that I am like the man in the video, except that I have four limbs, it's just that I have hemiplegia and the limbs on the left don't work too well,

So thank you author for helping me to find inspiration to accept my own handicap better ( the limbs on my left side are partially paralised and I am hemiplegique, but I love living life & I am happy
